A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to inactive addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive emails from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be stunningly easy if you’ve got a cloud plan with us. You can activate this option through our advanced, yet user-friendly Email Manager tool, which is integrated into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your hosting account. You’ll find all the email addresses that you have set up listed alphabetically and to the right of each one there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you if a specific mailbox stores all the emails associated with a given domain name or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature whenever you like. In case there is enabled email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain name, you will receive a notification from our system. The latter won’t replace/deactivate anything automatically and without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click if you’ve got a semi-dedicated plan with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you create using any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click on that icon. In the same manner you will be able to turn off the feature, in case you no longer need it. Our system will warn you if you are trying to enable a 2nd catch-all mailbox for a particular domain or in case there is enabled email forwarding, but it will never alter or deactivate any feature automatically or without your approval.
